Project Evaluation: Bubble Chart

As part of portfolio management, deciding which projects should be included requires evaluation, for scoring each project, and prioritisation, to decide which projects are most closely aligned to the business strategy.

4c Bubble Charts are a powerful way of presenting the results of project evaluation in a graphical format.

You choose which of the evaluation criteria to use for the X and Y axes.  A third set of criteria can be chosen, which sets the colour of the bubbles, and a fourth determines the size of the bubbles:

These choices can be saved as "styles" for repeated use.

Summary bubble charts can also be produced for programmes and sub-programmes.
